- Established in 2008, Illinois Club Baseball (D2) is an organization that offers students at the University of Illinois the opportunity to play competitive, collegiate level baseball. The club is run and maintained exclusively by students. Scheduling games, obtaining field space, hiring umpires, purchasing equipment, arranging road trips, and fundraising are all examples of duties performed by the club in order to uphold a high level of success. We recently moved to District VI South for this upcoming year. The time commitment is about 2 days a week during the fall with a weekend tournament. Then in the spring we have a spring break trip and play 5 weekend series against teams in our conference. Our Conference for the upcoming season includes; Loyola (Chicago), Lewis University, DePaul, and Columbia Chicago. We are new to this conference and are hoping to start off strong in year 1.
